וְאֵ֣ת ׀ צָד֣וֹק הַכֹּהֵ֗ן וְאֶחָיו֙ הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים לִפְנֵ֖י מִשְׁכַּ֣ן יְהוָ֑ה בַּבָּמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּגִבְעֽוֹן׃
and Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon,
Rashi on I Chronicles
And Zadok the priest was the head, and his brethren, the priests with him, David stationed before the Tabernacle of the Lord, which was in Gibeon, and he did not leave any priest with the Ark, because they did not have to perform the sacrificial service
